We Need Joy

"Our bodies are not designed to live in a constant state of stress."

The deep understanding of our bodies and biology shows us that we have not been designed to live in constant stress, fear or insecurity.

We have very efficient mechanisms to deal with these challenges: certain hormones are released that prepare us for survival; mental activity is accelerated; sleep patterns are altered; digestion rhythms change; the damaged tissue is not regenerated waiting for a less acute context, among many other changes.

Our bodies have been designed to live in states of peace, tranquility, joy, love and connection in general, promoting health and psychological well-being.

When we are overwhelmed with too much stress, with too many changes and insecurity, what happens is that our body tries desperately to move to a state of well-being by seeking some pleasure that can offer it, even if it’s something temporary or not very healthy.

Therefore, become aware of how your body copes with stress and • do not judge yourself if in difficult times like these • if you are indulging a little more in tasty meals, or in the morning you are sleeping in, or you want to take a foam bath at night and leave the worries behind • because this is the way in which we unconsciously seek that balance.

By becoming aware of this need, you can guide your body to receive what it seeks in a more positive way.

All love begins with love for oneself, which is the birth of self-compassion.

Meditate daily and get in contact with yourself, relate to the Divine through prayer and you will be able to move into a state of peace • within the eye of the storm • where there is silence & serenity here and now.
