Changing Hats

“Your readiness for change and adaptation is the single most powerful ability to thrive in this new world.”

We are living in a historical moment where daily life is changing exponentially. Even the speed of change is accelerating, exposing the extremes even more. What was there 5 years ago may not exist anymore, even what it was a few months ago, now it has changed.

Industries such as construction • with 3D printers that make houses in hours; music & movies • with streaming platforms; medicine • with robotics and technology; social interactions • with the global culture emerging from the internet; wildlife • with climate change; health • with the emergence of new challenges ... everything seems to be changing at high speed.

It is our ability to ‘change hats’ and adapt to a new way of seeing life that will allow you to thrive in the new world.

Any resistance is just a delay. And the speed of your response can make the difference between transcending or falling.

Every time we resist change, our energy drains, pushing our consciousness in a downward spiral. From a low level of consciousness, you can only create experiences of suffering.

At the same time, every time you change and adapt, you grow, and with it, your consciousness rises and your personality transforms.

Humanity is on a highway either towards higher or lower levels of consciousness, depending on your response to the challenge.

Resistance includes victimization, delaying, avoiding and ignoring, getting angry, taking an opposing stance, philosophizing, overwhelming responses, stressing, speaking negatively, reactiveness, and so on.

Adaptation includes new ways of thinking, leaving habits behind, studying & learning ongoingly, innovating and creating, cooperating with other people, developing greater self-confidence, speaking positively, appreciating the work of others who have adapted, talking less and doing more, meditate daily & becoming aware of your emotions finding inner peace, and so on.

How fast can I change old habits?

How open am I to a new way of living and participating in the world?

What changes am I resisting in my life right now?

What are the steps I must take today to create the life I want to live in this modern context?

These are some of the important questions to consider in these times.
